Game Breakdown and Key Moments

Penn State started strong, taking a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Drew Allar connected with tight end Tyler Warren for two touchdowns, while Omari Evans added another score.

Despite a brief resurgence from Boise State, which narrowed the gap to 17-14 after a touchdown pass from Maddux Madsen, the Nittany Lions’ defense proved formidable. They forced four turnovers and limited Boise’s star running back Ashton Jeanty to just 104 yards on 30 carries.

Nick Singleton sealed the victory with a 58-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter, extending Penn State’s lead to three touchdowns and effectively ending any hopes of a Boise State comeback.

The Nittany Lions will now prepare to face either Notre Dame or Georgia in the Orange Bowl on January 9, 2025.
