Samsung’s One UI 7 Beta featuring AI tools, a redesigned Now Bar, and enhanced camera experience. Check eligible devices and release timeline.

Samsung has officially launched the One UI 7 Beta, showcasing a range of AI features and enhanced personalization options. This update, based on Android 15, is designed to create a more intuitive user experience across Samsung devices.

Main AI Features Introduced in One UI 7

One UI 7 incorporates several advanced AI capabilities:

  • Writing Assist Tools: These tools enhance productivity by allowing users to summarize content, check spelling and grammar, and format notes into bullet points without switching apps.
  • Call Transcription: This feature automatically transcribes recorded calls in 20 languages, making it easier for users to keep track of important conversations.
  • AI-Powered Personalization: The interface adapts to user behavior, providing a more tailored experience.

Enhancements with the Now Bar

The newly introduced Now Bar significantly enhances user experience by:

  • Providing quick access to essential tools such as music controls, voice recording, and timers directly from the lock screen.
  • Reducing the need to unlock the device frequently, streamlining interactions with the phone.

Eligible Devices for One UI 7 Beta

Currently, the One UI 7 Beta is available for:

  • Galaxy S24 Series: Users in select regions including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US can participate in the beta program starting from December 5, 2024.

Expected Timeline for Final Release

The official rollout of One UI 7 is anticipated alongside the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, expected in early 2025. The beta program will gradually expand to other Galaxy devices thereafter.

Camera Experience Improvements

One UI 7 also brings notable improvements to the camera interface:

  • Simplified Controls: Camera settings have been reorganized for easier access to buttons and modes. This makes it simpler for users to focus on their subjects and control zoom levels effectively.
  • Enhanced Preview Features: Users will enjoy a clearer viewfinder experience, especially in Pro and Pro video modes.

With these updates, Samsung aims to provide a more engaging and personalized mobile experience through One UI 7.
