South Korea was racing to control the biggest outbreak of new coronavirus outside China on Tuesday, as the new COVD-1 disease led to more lives there and spread further into Italy – the first group in Europe’s first case. In South Korea, the global heights have reached close to 1, 2 and 5, respectively, with about a thousand cases and 3 deaths.
Despite confirming six U.S. cases until Monday, the Trump administration sought hundreds of millions of dollars in additional funding to work with Congress to buy protective gear and a vaccine for treatment and new viruses. Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called the White House funding plan “long overdue and completely inadequate in this emergency.”
The World Health Organization called it a global health emergency, but thus refused to use the “pandemic” label when a disease was detected in multiple areas and spread widely in the community. But fear has spread that the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in South Korea, has spread dramatically.
The fear has worsened the stock market around the world, increased travel restrictions and sparked hundreds of thousands of people in South Korea to test the disease.
