Physicians, nurses and other physician professionals no longer need to worry about the long journey to the New York City coronavirus epidemic and their families being infected. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday that the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown has offered to house free treatment workers.
Four Seasons on East 57th Street Closed Last Friday to the public and no reservations will be made until at least April 15th
“Our healthcare workers are working tirelessly in the first half of the crisis,” the hotel’s corporate owner’s chairman told T-Warner in a statement WCBS.
“Most of those working in New York City have to go home and away from their homes after spending 3-hour days. They need a place near where they can rest and revive. I’ve heard.During one of his press conferences, Action to Action, and we had no choice but to do what we could. ”
“We hope the first of many hotels will make their rooms easier,” Cuomo said in one Shriek.
New York State quickly became the center of coronavirus in the United States with 30,811 cases on Wednesday, with 17,856 in New York City. According to Cuomo, 3 people were hospitalized in the ICU – 3 were injured.
The news comes as many healthcare professionals say they ““Not only for their own safety, but for the safety of the family members they go to work with, they can probably infect it.
“I’m scared for my loved ones. Honestly, I’m as free as possible. I’m no hero, but I’m not scared of myself,” said Zahir Shah, Arizona’s primary care physician.. “I’m willing to take my own safety, but am I willing to pay for the safety of my children and my mother-in-law? I think it could be too much of a bridge.”
A serious deficiency, Or personal protective equipment, is also a major concern for medical personnel and their families.
“Because we don’t have the right protective gear to handle these patients, that puts me at risk,” said California Emergency Medicine physician.Md. “I can see that my co-workers are getting sick, and now two ventilators are in support and that makes me very, very worried, especially because my family is doing the same as they do.”
